Xiaomi to Launch Tech That Can Fully Charge a 4,000 mAh Battery in 17 Minutes

When it comes to battery life, device manufacturers worldwide are investing aggressively on two different fronts.

First and foremost, they are looking into ways to get more room inside phones and tablets, and this, in turn, means that the battery capacity overall can also be increased.

And then, they are trying to develop new recharging technology that can juice up our devices much faster, so no matter the size of the battery, it should be restored as fast as possible.

Xiaomi is ready to set a new record in this regard, as the company is getting ready to introduce what’s being called Super Charge Turbo.

Basically, what this new tech comes down to is a fast charging system that uses up to 100W power to reduce the time needed for your smartphone to stay plugged. How much? According to Lin Bin, who is the co-founder and president of Xiaomi, it would take only 17 minutes to charge a 4,000 mAh battery.
