For now you stopped Chiosa from doing something stupid, but you realize that dark creatures are suddenly approaching from all sides. They earthquake must have attracted them. All kinds of possessed animals that used to live here, a few humans and creatures thar grow out of the gem trees are now about to attack you. "Well, there are more than I expected... What now?", Laticia says hesitantly. 
"We fight our way through to get some distance!", you shout while bursting two creatures into dust. Another quake followed by three spiderlike legs coming out of the lake makes you stop dead. A shadow creature almost as big as the lake itself slowly rises out of it. Unable to move you just stand there watching it in disbelief. "Gosh, this must be the source of the shadows. They couldn't defeat it and so they sealed this whole area!", Laticia explains in a sudden understanding. Before you can reply, the creature sends out a huge shockwave that pushes you back with such power that you get thrown against a rotten tree. "That hurt! Are you o...?", you instantly stop talking as you turn around to the others. Blood everywhere. Laticia and your baby pet got knocked back hard against a rock. At once you know that they are dead.

Now the creature strikes out for you once more. How do you defend yourself?
